While in the 8th grade Kendria and her mom formed a youth organization in East Texas, entitled UNITY GOSPEL PRODUCTIONS, (“United Neighborhoods Inspiring the Youth"). With this organization, she also wrote and directed several Gospel plays at the Longview Community Center allowing the youth to express themselves through acting, dancing and singing. Once she graduated, she became a Charles Gilpin Player in 1996 at Prairie View A & M University, for the Theatre Arts Department where she stage managed and acted for several productions. During this same year, she also joined BSM- Baptist Student Movement Choir, where she competed in a competition in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998 and performed for Coretta Scott King, the wife of the late, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In 1998, she was crowned Miss Krimson and Kreme, winning best talent, interview, formal and swimsuit for the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Organization. In 1997, she attended the Million Woman March, in Philadelphia, PA, with a local campus group that she was a member of called, “Sister’s United.” Also, in 1999, she won first place in a campus Talent Show, performing a Dramatic Interpretation entitled, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Isn’t Enough.” She was also a member of Student Activities, where she was one of the Personal Assistants for the Isley Brother’s and Patti Labelle during a school function. In 2001, she worked as a paid intern at Channel 13 KTRK in Houston, Texas where she was a Video Operator and a Production Assistant for the morning news cut-ins and worked with "The Debra Duncan Show." She also worked at the well-known Christian TV Station (TBN), where she was the Master Control Operator, Camera Operator, Assisted with Directing and much more.
In 2001, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications RATV/Theater Arts from Prairie View A & M University. In 2010, she received her Masters of Arts Degree in Telecommunications at Texas Southern University and became the first student to become a Member of the Intercultural Communications Conference Committee for the Department of Communications at TSU since 2009. One of her greatest accomplishments was her “One Woman Shows,” (Personal Ministry) where she traveled to local churches, acting and singing through the Interpretation of Arts so that the people of God can be saved, set free and delivered from their past hurts. By which, she was later nominated by Dr. Jacqueline Davis-Gilmore, her Former Professor and Coach to receive an award for the National Women of Achievement Luncheon at Brady’s Landing on April 17, 2010. She also received a "Stella Award" at Texas Southern for maintaining a 4.0 G.P.A. and for high student achievement. She was also nominated for the “Good Life Award,” in Houston, Texas in June, 2013.
Kendria has been writing since the age of twelve. She released her first book, “Single Parent, Who Me?” When a woman has to unexpectedly do it all...ALONE. After writing this book, she became a Full-time Publisher, publishing self help books for over nine years now. She is dedicated in helping others birth their gifts by Hosting Conferences Globally and Mentoring many men and women, young and old. Kendria has hosted some of the greatest leaders across the nation including, Dr. Juanita Bynum, Dr. Cindy Trimm, Evangelist Jekayln Carr and Apostle John Eckhardt to name a few. In 2010, she published her second book “Labeled,” They Said, But What Did God Say,” which is steadily touching lives even today.
Currently, she is a Publicist for Major Clients/PR Manager/Publisher/Mentor/Strategist/Producer/TV Host and works with Executive Producers at Atlanta Alive, Great Day Houston and other Global Networks. Prophetess Kendria is the President/CEO of Prophetic Global Ministries and Prophetic Flow Ministries where she travels globally mentoring young prophets, teaching them how to properly operate in their prophetic gifts. She is also the Host of “A Global Day of Baptisms” where she will Baptizing up to 1000 individuals during her first Crusade. Recently, her testimony was featured in Apostle John Eckhardt’s, Sophia Ruffin’s & Apostle Ryan LeStrange’s New Book, “The Chayil Woman,” as well as "Oprah Winfrey gives her a personal shout out in Oprah's most recent recorded tour. She is also The Host of her own Television Show, “Prophetic Impact,” on Atlanta’s 57 where there is always some kind of Impact. Additionally, she produces 5 Television Programs at WATC TV Too, helping others launch their visions. Prophetess Kendria lives by the philosophy that, “Every Great Leader Has To Serve!”
